Bread Butterflies

Bread butterflies fluttering along in a dream, I was inspired by Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll when I drew my little butterfly. I created this fabric using my own drawing (pencil and ink) and then playing around with Photoshop elements and http://www.spoonflower.com/ I was able to make this fabric. That being the short easy version of the story. The longer version would include the many hours of working and learning the photoshop program and at the same time quite nervous how it would all turn out onto the fabric. Which is why I only ordered a fat quarter.
I am however very excited to try my hand at other designs. I am sure there are other programs and or ways to design fabric and maybe even ones just for the purpose but I have not discovered them yet. If you know of any I would be curious.
I still haven't figured out what I am going to make with this precious little fat quarter. I am just so excited to have it. One can hardly imagine that things like spoonflower wouldn't exist with out the internet and all the programs and computer tech we have today. It's kind of amazing to think you can create frabic right from your home computer and have it delivered to your door. Spoonflower simply rocks!
