Wrapper Purse

As many of you know I have begun making a wrapper purse. There have been many questions about it so I have decided to log my journey of making this purse and explain how it's made. So far I have collected wrappers from candy, chips, soda bottles, etc. (basically anything that's a shiny plastic label) Basically I figure I'll need 480 wrapper rectangles such as the coke label shown above to make my bag, maybe more depending on how big I make it. So far I'm going for an 11" x 5.5" size. The wrappers are cut at 2" x 4.5" and folded to make paper links which are chained together when the desired number of links has been chained the ends are connected to make a loop. The loops are then stacked and woven together to create the bag.

I think I am bag obsessed, I love handbags as you can see from my Etsy shop Thanks for checking out this post. Also if you have any suggestions or questions about this bag please leave a comment below I'd love to hear from you.
